High Expression
Cellca's expression system is composed of carefully harmonized genetic elements providing high protein levels and allowing the rapid identification of high producer clones. Only genetic elements which are well known to authorities are applied to ensure regulatory acceptance.For the production of dimeric and oligomeric complexes, subunits are often expressed at different levels, resulting in a waste of cellular energy and reduced product yields due to suboptimal complex assembly. Therefore, Cellca's expression system employs differentially designed genetic regulatory elements that enable precisely balanced expression of subunits. This issue is of particular interest for high-level production of antibodies.
Moreover, Cellca offers an optimised selection technology: lower resistance gene activity results in a reduced number of clones, thereby minimizing screening workload. At the same time, FACS-based single cell cloning ensures clonality of the selected cells.
