The majority of biopharmaceuticals are produced in CHO cell lines, because of which they are widely accepted by regulatory authorities.Our CHO cell line has been adapted to serum-free conditions and selected specifically for high protein synthesis. The cell line has been particularly optimised for large scale production with respect to high cell density, high cell viability and low metabolic waste production.
The history of Cellca's production cell line is documented throughout its development. Mycoplasma, sterility, virus contamination and virus-like particles have all been tested negative. All host cell line generation steps were performed in serum-free and protein-free media.
